Hi, I’m Yonas. I’m a software engineer at Microsoft, building infrastructure that brings AI-assisted fixes to the tools teams use to address security issues. Lately, I’ve been working on making both the findings and the fixes more reliable.
I studied computer science at Bowdoin, where I also helped teach data structures. Now I’m working toward my master’s at Georgia Tech, focusing on computer systems.

I built a distributed platform that scales security teams’ remediation plugins from internal Copilot platforms into service teams’ security workflows, generating thousands of PRs and saving tens of thousands of developer hours. I now focus on quality: using AI to assess static analysis findings and reduce false positives, evaluating whether PRs resolve the reported issues, and building a feedback framework that notifies component owners of quality issues with evidence-backed recommendations to improve detection accuracy and generated fixes.
